Melbourne Airport Stage 1 & 2

A new elevated roadway connecting the Tullamarine Freeway to Terminal 4 is planned to begin in 2019 and is scheduled to open by 2021. The upgrades are expected to make journeys 30% faster and take 5,000 vehicles per day off the existing network. 

Unsigned Studio created a dynamic CGI animation that shows the changes to traffic conditions into and around Melbourne Airport. Through animated CGI and motion graphics, the new roadways are realistically visualised and clearly communicated to a public audience. The film follows the roadway along the Tullamarine Freeway from approximately Springbank St through the new T4 Express Link and into Terminal 4.  

Stage 1 & 2 – Elevated Roads and Forecourt

Melbourne Airport is addressing long term traffic congestion through the construction of an elevated road network, which will separate public traffic, pedestrians and commercial transport operators. The two-stage project will create a more streamlined exit from the Tullamarine Freeway to all terminals.
